5 New Clarks Shoes Jamaicans are Not Into – See Pictures

The love that Jamaicans have for the Clarks brand is widely known, and most households have at least one pair of Clarks to boast of. As Summer is just around the corner, five new shoes by Clarks have been labelled as “Season Clarks Pieces To Add To Your Wardrobe.”

Featured in ELLE magazine on April 17, the Spring/Summer collection of Clarks footwear was said to be “statement-making” and “multi-tasking” shoes. According to Grace Clarke, fashion assistant for ELLE, the following 5 shoes from the collection were her favourite.

The Orianna Roam Sandal was described as “chunky leather sandals” with a “thick sole and ankle straps” that are perfect to pair with basically any look.

The second choice was the Craft Match Lo Trainers, which are “white suede trainers” that are “Clean and chic,” and chosen to be paired casually with jeans and a top.

Clarke’s third pick was the Pure Soft Sandal in the slider style, which are slippers that you just slide your feet into without the hassle of straps. This style was said to be “versatile” enough to either wear to the beach or out to evening dinner.

Number four was the Craft Run Tor Trainers shoes that can be worn if you want to dress with comfort in mind. These trainers come in the colour off-white and described as a “sports shoe without the bulky look.” The final look is the Torhill Seam Sandals, which are a type of platform shoes called flatforms.

The Torhill Seam Sandals, according to Clarks, are “practical yet chic” and “smart enough to wear to the office but can easily take you from your day’s toil to your evening soirée.”

However, though this collection may be perfect for summer, Jamaicans seem to be sticking to the much-loved style of Clarks that they know, namely the Desert Clarks, the Wallabee Clarks, and the Desert Treks, more popularly known as Bank Robber Clarks.

These styles of Clarks are popular among men, women, and children, and have been one of the most popular footwear on the island even before the song Clarks was released as a collaboration between Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, and Gaza Slim.
