5-year-old Dies after being Hit by Motor Vehicle in Montego Bay

A 5 year girl has died as a result of injuries she sustained when she was hit down by a motor vehicle in Montego Bay, St. James on Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports about 1:30 pm a grey sports utility vehicle got out of control on Queen’s Drive in Montego Bay, ran off the road hitting down four persons in the process.

The five year old who was later identified as Shanika McDonald of a Flanker address was rushed to the Cornwall Regional hospital along with three adults where McDonald succumbed to her injuries.

Further investigation to be conducted by the St. James police.
