69-Y-O St. James Man Charged with Raping His 7-Y-O Grand-Niece

A sixty-nine-year-old man has been charged for allegedly sexually assaulting and raping his 7-year-old grand-niece in St. James.

Reports state that a younger relative of the alleged victim witnessed the man kissing her and later told her mother.

The elderly man allegedly assaulted the 7-year-old twice in December 2023.

On one occasion, the man is said to have called the young girl into his room where he kissed and fondled her.

It is alleged that the man raped her another day.

After the incidents were reported to the police, the 69-year-old was charged with rape, grievous sexual assault and sexual touching.
