I-Octane Talks on Visiting Vybz Kartel, His Rise in Dancehall and His “Many Hit Songs” – Watch Interview
Far from being hesitant to give himself the glory, reggae dancehall artiste I-Octane has declared that he has over 500 hit songs in several countries throughout his career.
The artiste’s bold statements were first touted during an Instagram livestream amid his feud with Malie Donn and, if true, would see him surpassing musical legend Bob Marley’s tally of hits.
Following his statements earlier this month, I-Octane explained during an interview on Dancehall Hot Seat LLC how he became such a prolific hitmaker, outlining the number of successful tracks he has made over the years. According to I-Octane, over the course of his career, he has recorded over 4000 songs, which were released globally.
Explaining that his hits are not confined to Jamaica, the Mama You Alone singer said he had singles that were hits in Guyana, Australia, and Japan that have never been played in Jamaica. I-Octane added that he has over 40 hit songs in Europe that have never been played outside of the continent.
I-Octane went on to highlight his seven albums, 4000 songs he has not yet released, and his notable hits Lose a Friend, Buss a Blank, We Love Di Vibes, Gal a Gimmi Bun, Stab Vampire, and more.
