Beres Hammond Gives Peek Behind the Gates of His Harmony House Studio – Watch Video
Reggae artiste Beres Hammond gives fans a look behind the gates of his Harmony House studio in Kingston.
Since starting his career in the 1970s, the iconic singer has supplied reggae fans with celebrated hits. While many artistes’ musical legacy is restricted to their catalogue, Hammond extended his beyond that of his vast list of notable singles, forming his own record label, Harmony House Records, in the 1980s.
Now, Hammond’s Harmony House studio consists of two studios, including one with a baby grand piano and set-up for live drums. On Monday, Hammond gave fans a peek behind the gates of Harmony House, showcasing the studio on his Instagram page.
Beyond the black gates of the studio’s entrance, which are emblazoned with golden double H’s, the two-story structure painted in red, yellow, and green comes into view. Also featuring double H’s is the mosaic tiled flooring of Harmony House’s entrance.
Above wine barrel chairs, Hammond’s beloved albums, such as his 1993 project Sweetness and 2001’s Music Is Life, decorate the wall alongside photographs of the artiste.
In addition to facilitating the creation of esteemed works by Hammond, such as his highly acclaimed What One Dance Can Do, the music oasis that is Harmony House Records has also housed the works of Morgan Heritage, Marcia Griffiths, and Sizzla.
