Of late, there has been an ongoing debate regarding who deserves the title of King of Dancehall, Beenie Man or Vybz Kartel. McGregor shared his opinions while proclaiming that Beenie is the king of Dancehall.

According to the Grammy award-nominated producer, the title of king belongs to Buju because of his versatility in both Dancehall and Reggae.

“Buju Banton a di king of Reggae… Because yuh si Buju, Buju is the only Reggae artiste who can perform one night a pure roots and culture, Lovers Rock and di place bun dung, and the next night him can guh do a Dancehall set and the place bun dung. Suh this is why Buju is the King of Reggae,” McGregor said.

He further stated that while he salutes Marley, he is not as great as Buju.
