Residents were reportedly angered by the police operation and allegedly attacked officers with stones and bottles, forcing them to fire warning shots into the air. Videos recorded during the tense standoff have begun circulating online, and in one video several gunshots can be heard.

The woman who seemingly recorded the footage stated that the officers were no longer firing their weapons in the air. As a crowd gathered shouting at the officers to leave, another woman was seen hurling what appeared to be a stone in their direction.

In another video, a man showed the slashed tires of a police vehicle that had reportedly been damaged by residents.

Massive security presence was captured in a video recorded in the area, amid the tense standoff. Officers were heavily armed, with some carrying shields.

As per a report, the lawmen were unable to detain the intended target because of the situation created by the angry residents. In additional footage that captured moments from the aftermath of the unrest, another police pickup truck can be seen with a damaged windscreen.
