Lisa Hyper Broke Down in Tears During Emotional Interview: Talks Getting “mad people injection”

Lisa Hyper formerly Lisa Hype talked about her latest released song ‘Soul Cry’ and her challenges in music in a newly released interview. In the chat with Winford Williams of OnstageTV Lisa detailed being attacked multiple times spiritually which promoted her to write the song.

As per the Gaza Nation member, ‘Soul Cry’ is a song from her life experiences, which sometimes makes her get emotional.

“The first attack i got was when i do the collaboration with Lady Saw in 2012,” stated Lisa before detailing that each time she’s doing great in music, she gets attacked. As she got emotional talking about her own experiences she stated, “The last attack i got was a terrible one.”

Lisa details that she sought medical assistance for months and at one point she had to get an injection which she says affected her body, causing her to put on weight. “I was in the mental facility for 2 months, 3 months mi affi get mad people injection and mi nuh mad.”

She highlights that her fans keep wondering why she goes absent after getting popular songs, however, Lisa Hyper details that each time she gets a hit song she gets attacked spiritually.

Lisa details that she “cry alot… my soul cry” while listening to her new song, stating that each time she thinks about her attacks, she breaks down. Furthermore, she details that she’s “hurting” because she hurt a lot of people that she loves because she wasn’t her normal self.

“People wicked Winford man and yuh nuh affi duh dem nut’n. I’m very genuine,” outlines Lisa Hyper. “Lady Saw know weh did a happen to me,” says Hyper as she talks about four different intense when she was attacked, something she sang about in her latest song.

Lisa also recounts Lady Saw calling on her at one point to join her in the church because she believes the attacks are being prompted by someone who does not like to see her progress.

Despite the challenges, Lisa Hyper says she’s in a ‘great place’ nowadays, especially because her ‘boss’ is back on the road. “I’m very happy right now, grateful,” she said in her conclusion.
