
Queen Ifrica is in a joyous mood as she celebrates her fiftieth birthday on Tuesday.
The Reggae singer took to social media to share her excitement for the new era of her life with her fans. In a video shared on her Instagram page, she stated that she wanted to share the moment with her supporters, whom she thanked for staying with her on her journey.
“I just wanted to say to all my supporters over the years, thank you so much for loving Queen Ifrica, Queen Ifrica music, Queen Ifrica advocacy. And this is a new beginning, a new era in my life, and I want to start it right here by sharing it with you,” Ifrica said.
The Lioness on the Rise singer also shared a few encouraging words and told her supporters that life is whatever they make of it, so celebrate every moment.
Ifrica, born Ventrice Morgan, is a native of Montego Bay and the daughter of Ska singer Derrick Morgan. However, she was raised by her mother and did not meet her father until she was an adult.

She began working with Tony Rebel’s Flames Productions in 1998, and she and the artiste share two children, daughter Tanzania and son Malawi. A follower of Rastafarianism, the religion heavily influences her music, and she is known for her outspokenness and advocacy.
She rose to fame with hits such as Below the Waist and songs which tackled societal issues, like Daddy and Keep it to Yourself.
