Press Release – In collaboration with California-based record label, Water the Plants, Ky-enie King has been focused on producing conscious message music. Creating a unique sound that emanates soulfulness with each track on the soon-to-be-released EP “The Remedy”.
The singer describes the music as healing, aimed to quench the thirst of the lost world.
On April 21, 2023, Ky-enie gave his fans a taste of his new sound releasing one single from the project titled “Behold”. A song meant to energize listeners with new hope.
The single “Beautiful” was released on June 30, 2023, accompanied by visuals on July 07, 2023.
King recently hosted a listening party and has been featured on several platforms promoting the project. Articles in the South Florida Caribbean News and Caribbean National Weekly, live radio interview at Bridge 99 FM, Nationwide 90 FM, Suncity Radio, Instagram live with Roots Reggae Hub Radio and many more.
The singer continues to deliver moving performances and has most recently performed at Connected at the Root in Dallas. King is scheduled for an appearance at Reggae on the Kalmath in California on July 21, 2023.
King hinted to a launch party in Ocho Rios Jamaica that would precede the official release of the EP “The Remedy.”

Biography
International Contemporary Reggae singer Ky-enie King is no novice in the music industry. He has been composing and writing music for almost two [2] decades, known for his uplifting lyrics and raspy voice. Ky-enie describes his musical style as “Eclectic Reggae mixed with Dancehall, Alternative Rock and a splash of Acoustic Soul. He displays this in his real-life inspired tunes like “Stages in Life” High Bridge Records., “As I Rise”, featuring Prince Talib and “Round of Applause”. In a recent interview Ky-enie shared, “I want to heal the audience with my music as much as it has healed me”.
Jamaica-born King is inspired by varied genres of music from Bob Marley, Tracy Chapman, The Script, and countless others. Guitar-strapped Ky-enie is known for his electric uplifting stage presence. “I’ve always loved to perform. The audience energizes me, it doesn’t matter if it’s to one person or a million, I refuse to fall short on a performance,” states Ky-enie.
Ky-enie shared the highlights of his career which included receiving many messages of love and gratitude from fans around the world, thanking him for saving their lives through his music. In their messages, fans specifically cited lyrics from Ky-enie’s song titled “Rain”, which was released in 2002 and published in the internationally successful Jamaican movie, “Shottas.” Among other accomplishments, Ky-enie was highlighted in Silver Fox World Charts as “SFDC Radio Artiste of Great Interest” in 2020.
The artiste has travelled internationally to deliver his message of resilience and hope to the people. He has performed at many Caribbean Festivals such as Irie Jamboree in New York Carib Fest, Westchester Reggae Fest, Germany Africa Fest, South Cape Reggae Festival, Riddim Runway in Fort Myers in Florida, Reggae Pon Di Riva in Jamaica.
Today, Ky-enie is still devoted to creating life-changing music. He hopes that his music will help people to centre themselves and develop a more profound appreciation of life.
