In a short video that was posted on his social media pages, Prime Minister Andrew Holness gave the public a quick look at how he remains in shape.
Holness, who celebrated his fiftieth birthday over the summer in July, is the youngest person to be elected for the position of prime minister in Jamaica’s history. The husband, and father of two, has found time to make physical health a priority in his hectic routine and shared a video of himself taking on a long trail run.
Jokingly calling it a “bush run” due to his heavily vegetated surroundings, the prime minister shared that he had just completed an arduous seven-mile run.

Prime Minister Holness has advocated for physical health in the past and explained how he makes time for a daily routine earlier this month.
“Daily physical activity is essential to maintaining a healthy weight and reducing the risk of chronic disease. Staying active remains an important part of my life despite my schedule,” Holness stated. He also mentioned that setting aside a time slot of at least 30 minutes per day, every day, will help in the prevention of noncommunicable diseases.
