Asafa Turns Into Robot in Hilarious Routine to Get Kids Ready for School – Watch Video
Parents often have to get creative when it comes to getting their kids interested in mundane activities, and Olympian Asafa Powell and his wife Alyshia Miller-Powell are no different.
The couple has two sons together, Amieke Powell and Azhaf Powell, whom they welcomed in October 2019 and September 2021, respectively. While the boys are growing up as fast as their father was on the track, unfortunately, that speed has not been duplicated in their routine for getting ready for school.
On Friday, Asafa gave his followers on Instagram a look at the hilarious lengths he and Alyshia have to go to to get the boys ready for school on time. Asafa expressed in his post’s caption that every day is a struggle to prepare Amieke and Azhaf for school.
Unlike the previous day, when they played as cats and dogs for encouragement, the former sprinter said he was forced Friday morning to act like a robotic police officer catching Alyshia. In the video shared on his page, Asafa could be seen imitating the stiff-legged and arm movements of a robot as he instructed Amieke and Azhaf to put on their socks and shoes to “put mommy in jail.”
