Jamaican-Born to Haitian Parents, Ayetian talks Success of ‘Balance’, Dancehall and Farming

A Jamaican-born to Haitian parents who fled Haiti to Jamaica on a boat, Ayetian is one of the young Dancehall artistes who is expected to do big things in 2025 following his hit single ‘Balance’.

In an interview with Anthony Miller of Entertainment Report, the deejay from Western Jamaica says that he has ’11 subjects’, but when he was in school, he decided to pursue music as a career choice.

‘BALANCE’ was released on December 26 and has so far racked-up over 2.6 million views on YouTube. The Dj Mac produced song is currently a must play at local Dancehall parties, it is also make waves in several Caribbean countries including Trinidad and Guyana.

In the interview, Ayetian showed great admiration for Haiti, stating that he would want to perform in Haiti at some point. He also expressed that he would like to shoot music videos in Haiti.

As per Ayetian, life in Jamaica for his family “is much better than in Haiti”, detailing that his parents are into forming, “we actually own acres and stuff” he said before revealing that he usually sells forming produces to support his music.
