After being badly injured in a car accident in Half Way Tree in April, Dandimite, born Herman Stewart, suffered a relapse during a trip to the United States. Dandimite fell ill shortly after deboarding the plane and was rushed to a hospital, where he passed away.

According to reports from the Jamaica Observer, the former Scare Dem Crew member had suffered from multiple complications, including blood clots and pneumonia. Dandimate and his fellow Scare Dem Crew members, Nitty Kutchie, Harry Toddler, and Angel Doolas, were closely associated with Bounty during the emergence of their careers, with Dandimite serving as a source of encouragement for Bounty.

Bounty, in turn, featured the Scare Dem Crew during his performances, and the artistes have remained friends throughout the years. Following the sudden passing of his friend, Bounty changed his Instagram profile photo to a black screen and took to the platform yesterday to share that a candlelight service would be held for Dandimite last night at Seaview Gardens Phase 2 Falcon in Kingston.

Sharing a photo of himself, 1 Booba Starr, K-Queens and Dandimite, Bounty thanked the people who had shown him support, explaining that Dandemite’s death had left him at a loss for words and that he was now in a dark place.

“Brighter days mi bredda, rise in paradise [ … ] Words had no use to express what or how I’m feeling now. I don’t even know myself since the last three days ago. I’m numbed, disoriented, and confused [ … ] I’m lost in a dark room right now trying to cope with this (Tragedy),” Bounty stated.
