Bounty Killer Sends Out Heart-Warming Happy Birthday Message to Mother ‘Ms Ivy’ and Shows “graveside rave” – See Picture, Watch Video

Dancehall hitmaker and veteran deejay Bounty Killer sent out ‘love and appreciation’ for his deceased mother, Ms. Ivy, in multiple social media posts on Thursday.

In his first post, the artiste wrote a short message to his mom and wished her a happy “heavenly birthday” to show how much she meant to him and that although she is gone, she is not forgotten.

The message stated, “On this blessed day my most beloved mom was born the infamous Ms Ivy happies heavenly birthday wishes to you mama…I know your smiling down on me…I shall forever makes you proud watch over me my arch angel…”

Born Ivy Williams on March 7, 1941, Ms. Ivy passed away in February 2012 and Bounty Killer later wrote a song dedicated to her entitled Mama Gone But Not Forgotten. The song was released in 2014.

A collage of memories expressed through pictures was also uploaded along with the message and the song God Knows Better (2022 release) by Bounty Killer and Olaf Blackwood played in the background.

Bounty Killer also posted a video to his Instagram page in which a “graveside rave” was being held in Ms. Ivy’s honour. The video was captioned, “We’re living among the dead like it or not the graveside rave started celebrating the illustrious life of Ms Ivy.”

The video showed multiple persons at a graveyard and an up-close viewing of Ms. Ivy’s grave showed the parting message that read, “She passed through glory’s morning gate and walked into paradise.”

Many happy birthdays were also left in the comment section by fans of the deejay and people who seemingly knew of her when she was alive. Someone said, “Happy birthday Mama Ivy the mother of dancehall,” and another individual wrote, “Happy birthday mama you are forever missed.”
