Cristiano Ronaldo/Al-Nassr Eliminated From the 2022 Saudi Super Cup After 3-1 Loss – Watch Highlights
Following his highly anticipated competitive debut for Al-Nassr on Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo and the Saudi Arabian football club have been eliminated from the 2022 Saudi Super Cup after suffering a 3-1 loss to Al-Ittihad.
The former Manchester United player joined Al-Nassr in December after signing a deal reportedly worth over 200 million euros. Ronaldo made his debut after serving a two-match ban by England’s FA but was unable to secure his first goal for the Saudi club during their game on Sunday against Al Ettifaq, with Anderson Talisca providing the team with their winning goal.
Romarinho opened the scoring for Al-Ittihad in the 15th minute, with Ronaldo later missing out on a possible equaliser for Al-Nassr with a header that was blocked by goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe. Abderrazzaq Hamed Allah pushed Al-Ittihad further ahead, doubling their lead before the end of the first half.

The second half saw Talisca providing his team once again with a much-needed goal. But without an equaliser to level the deficit and Muhannad Al Shanqiti placing Al-Ittihad firmly in the lead with a goal in stoppage time, newly minted captain Ronaldo saw Al-Nassr ejected from the Super Cup.
