Former President of the United States of America, Donald Trump is standing firm with his decision to not rejoin the Twitter social media platform, after being permanently banned for violation of the company’s policy and guidelines in 2021.
During a recent interview on FOX News, Trump made the disclosure that despite new ownership of the platform by tech billionaire Elon Musk, he has no plans to return if his account gets reinstated. However, he asserted that his newly developed ‘Truth’ platform will be his choice of social media.
“I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on Truth”. Trump further added that, “I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on Truth. The bottom line is, no, I am not going back to Twitter”.
He also compared Twitter to Truth by stating that since its launch in February 2022, it has since amassed millions of subscribers and is receiving better feedback. Trump then used the word “fake” to describe Twitter, whereas, he used the words “justice and fairness” to describe Truth.
Over a year ago, Trump was banned from the platforms Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and FaceBook after being accused of using his social media to incite a riot at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Soon after, he revealed that he will be creating his own social media to encourage open, free, and honest global conversations without discriminating against political ideology.
