Elaine Thompson Wins Her 100m Semifinal World Championships

Elaine Thompson won semifinal 2 of the women’s 100m at the London World Championships and has advanced to the final.

Thompson, the Olympic 100m and 200m champion, clocked 10.84 ahead of Brazil’s Rosangela Santos, who achieves an Area record of 10.91.

Jura Levy and Simone Facey finished fifth and sixth respectively in semifinal 1 behind winner Cote d’Ivoire’s Marie-Josee Ta Lou, who also beat Dafne Schippers.
