Flamboyant Dancehaller Flippa Moggela has made a notable return to the music scene with his new music video for the track ‘Wah Gwaan Bout Yah Man’. The song, which serves as his first music video of 2024, has quickly gained traction, making an impressive debut on the Reggae iTunes Chart.

On December 18, the track entered the chart at number 20, but its momentum didn’t stop there. Making its way up the chart, it peaked at number 10, nestled between the legendary ‘Murder She Wrote’ by Chaka Demus and Pliers at number 9, and ‘Praise Jah in the Moonlight’ by YG Marley at number 11.

Over the years, Flippa, whose real name is Andrew Davis, has made a name for himself as a vocal figure in the Dancehall scene, especially known for calling out what he terms “bogus choppers and flossers.” ‘Wah Gwaan Bout Yah Man’ continues in this tradition, with lyrics that offer a glimpse into his unapologetic lifestyle.

The music video, which was shot across two locations—Jamaica and the United States—further emphasizes Flippa Moggela’s larger-than-life persona. The entertainer is seen flaunting his signature style, showcasing a fleet of luxury cars, bottles, and gleaming jewellry, reinforcing his status as the “Flossing King.”

This release comes on the heels of Flippa’s November 2 Flossing Never Stop birthday party, a star-studded event that featured Jada Kingdom. The track ‘Wah Gwaan Bout Yah Man’ is just the beginning, as Flippa has confirmed that it will be part of an upcoming EP consisting of 8 tracks.

The EP is expected to feature a number of surprise collaborations with some big names in the music industry. Flippa Moggela, who celebrated his 46th birthday on October 31, is showing that despite his years in the business, he remains a force to be reckoned with.
