Footage Shows Traffic Stop and Shooting Incident that Lead to Thickman’s Death: Video

A few days after Othneil ‘Thickman’ Lobban was killed by lawmen along 6 Miles in St Andrew, a video has surfaced showing what happened when police officers initially stopped the vehicle in which the wanted man was travelling.
The footage shows at least two vehicles being stopped, one of which was a van and another a SUV. After stopping with the officers momentarily, the two vehicles can be seen speeding off which was followed by what sounds like gunshots in the blurry video.
The video was captured minutes after 10 PM and shows other vehicles travelling along the highway, not knowing that was taking place, however, the person who was in the car where the footage was captured could be heard asking ‘what’s going on’, clearly shocked by the happenings in front of him.
As shown in the video, the police officers who were on the right side of the road, jumped into action and began pursuing the fleeing vehicles. The video cut shortly after the police began giving chase. Other footage that surfaced a day ago shows the same two vehicles crashed on the side of the road.

After watch the video, one Intagram user wrote, “This video goes to show that it was indeed a chase. He tries to elude the officers………he stopped the vehicle then drove away leaving the two service vehicles but was caught further up the road (off camera).”
