Four Men Escape Ocho Rios Police Lock-Up

Four prisoners escaped from the Ocho Rios Police lock-up in St. Ann in the early hours of this morning by cutting sections of the metal gates of the cells.

The men have been identified as:

  1. Forty-year-old Terrence Harrelal of Claremont, St. Ann, charged for shooting with intent;
  2. Forty-two-year-old, Dennis Colbourne of Islington, St. Mary, charged with rape;
  3. Twenty-two-year-old Javar Grant of Priory, St. Ann, charged with illegal possession of firearm;
  4. Thirty-year-old Jermaine Rodgers of Mile End in Ocho Rios, St Ann, charged with illegal Possession. of firearm

According to reports, shortly after routine cell checks were performed at about 1:00 a.m., police officers heard a noise from the direction and went to investigate.

Head of the St. Ann Police, Superintendent Dwight Powell has confirmed the incident and an intensive manhunt in search of the escapees is underway.
