Govana’s Management Says He Was Not Booked for Sting Despite Being On Flyer

Prominent dancehall artiste Govana was purportedly not booked for Sting, despite the flyers saying otherwise. The advisory about the artiste being absent at the forthcoming event was made by his management.

Ahead of the biggest one-night show in dancehall, Govana’s management team issued a brief statement to Prism Marketing Consultants stating that the Spanish Town native will not be on the stage.

The announcement was made to inform the public that the 1Matik artist was not scheduled to perform at Sting on December 26 at Plantation Cove in Priory, St. Ann. However, the entertainer was advertised on flyers and various billboards across the island, promising a performance from him.

According to Prism Marketing Consultants, the announcement read, “We would like to notify the public that Govana is not booked for STING and will not be performing at STING!” The release concluded with the words “sign management” at the end.

Sting, regarded as the musical battlefield where the island’s most renowned lyricists compete, has been promising a grand comeback after being absent for nearly a decade. Valiant, Skeng, Silk Boss, Jahshii, Jada Kingdom, Jahvillani, Shaniel Muir, Dovey Magnum, Etana, Shane-O, Christopher Martin, Daddy 1, Pamputtae, Topmann, Malie Donn, Pablo YG, and Lanae are only some of the top entertainers in the line-up.
