Reggae/Dancehall Artiste I-Octane’s 6th studio album, Dancehall Gift, is now the number one album on the iTunes Top 100 Reggae Albums chart.

He achieved the feat within the first week of releasing the album.

Dancehall Gift, released on July 7, 2023, contains ten tracks which the artiste said were based on requests from his fans.

He declared that his previous album, I Am Great, was more conscious as he focused on positivity, motivation and social commentary.

Contrary to that, fans have asked him for more uptempo dancehall vibes, and he obliged.

Thus, he named this album “Dancehall Gift” because it is a gift to his loyal supporters.

The controversial figure, “Hot Ras”, celebrated his achievement with an Instagram post in which he shared a picture of the album, showing its number one position on the Reggae Albums chart.

In the caption, the singer wrote, “DANCEHALL GIFT ALBUM #1 Thanks for your support my fans I really appreciate it [prayer emoji] but all who just hearing about my new album [DANCEHALL GIFT] It’s not too late for you to buy a copy on Itunes or Amazon Music plus do remember to stream it too…BLESSED LOVE…KEEP IT A #1 LETS GO [fire emoji].”

Rounding out the top five albums on the Itunes Reggae Albums chart are; #2, “Legend – The Best of Bob Marley & The Wailers” (2002 Edition), #3, “World on Fire” by Stick Figure, #4, “Maoli Music Overload” by Maoli, and #5, “Set in Stone” by Stick Fire.

Octane, born Byiome Muir, has previously released five studio albums. They are “Crying to the Nation” in 2012, “My Journey” in 2014, “Love & Life” in 2018, “Moods” in 2021, and “I Am Great” in 2022.
