JCF Member Under Investigation For Rape and Robbery

There is currently an investigation underway by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) into a report of a rape and robbery that appears to have been committed by one of its officers while on duty in St Elizabeth.
In addition to the policeman who was arrested, three other officers who were on duty with him were also taken into custody.
Several investigation agencies are actively investigating this case. Among them are the Inspectorate of Professional Standards Oversight Bureau (IPROB) of the JCF, the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) and the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
It was reported that the incident occurred sometime between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Monday in Black River. At this point, it is unclear what exactly transpired in the late hours of Monday night, and it is also undetermined who the victims are.
As stated by the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the Police High Command is taking the report very seriously, and the matter is being treated with the utmost urgency on the part of the police. According to the report, the Police High Command is anxiously anticipating what is expected to be a thorough and speedy investigation by the relevant investigative bodies.

Jamaica Constabulary Force has earned a reputation for the presence of criminals within its ranks. According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force reports, a gang of cops (Ranko Gang) was discovered operating in the Clarendon division of the JCF last year, allegedly involved in shootings, burglaries, robberies, illegal possession of firearms, shop breaking, conspiracy to murder, and abduction.
