On Friday, the governing body responsible for the running of local football on the island, JFF, announced that it has finally paid out the outstanding balance owed to the Reggae Girlz, who participated in the Women’s World Cup.

“The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) is pleased to advise that, as committed, we have now paid in full balances due to the Women’s World Cup Team,” the embattled organization stated.

JFF continued its statement by revealing that they have started the process of paying the members of the Reggae Girlz team who only participated in the Women’s World Cup qualifiers and not in the World Cup.

“We will also start processing payments to all players who played in the qualifying rounds but were not in the final World Cup squad.”
