American singer and rapper Tory Lanez has been found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. The Los Angeles jury found Tory guilty on all three charges on Friday afternoon. The Canadian rapper was convicted on all three counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence.

After the verdict was read, Tory’s family became infuriated and shouted, “This system stands before God!” His family, including his father and stepmother, blurted out that the court system was evil, and they were subsequently removed from the courtroom by officers. Tory had pleaded not guilty to the charges, and he arrived at court in high spirits, which is what he told the cameras as he entered the court.

According to CNN, Tory was taken out of the courtroom in handcuffs by bailiffs. He now faces more than 22 years of imprisonment and possible deportation back to Canada. His sentencing will be decided on January 27, 2023. According to TMZ reports, Tory’s attorney had contacted immigration officials before he was found guilty. The information gathered outlined that the possibility of Tory being deported was high.

Megan had accused Tory of shooting her in the foot after she exited his Cadillac Escalade, where she, Tory, and her former friend Kelsey Harris argued. According to Megan, he sat inside his car and started shooting at her as he shouted, “Dance bitch.” She also testified that he had offered her $1 million to keep quiet.

The dispute inside the car is said to have stemmed from Megan allegedly having a relationship with Ben Simmons, DaBaby, and Tory, whom Kelsey liked. Additionally, it was noted by the defence that Megan first misled the police about how her foot got wounded and that she was not open about having an intimate relationship with Tory Lanez.

Following the verdict, Tory’s father was angrily arguing about the justice system outside the courthouse after being escorted out. Tory’s father argued about the lack of physical evidence presented at trial. He and Tory’s stepmother declared that the case was not over, which possibly indicates that Tory’s legal team might file an appeal.

“It’s not over! God does not lose, and even though we come to this juncture, trust me, you will see that our God does not fail,” Tory’s father stated. He went on to say that what happened was “wickedness.” During his rant, he also shouted that “Roc Nation,” Jay-Z’s record label that Megan is signed with, will “crumple.” Before taking off, he yelled, “I am an apostle of God, and you will know who I am.”
