Popular producer Shab Don seemingly is going to spend some time behind bars after he was charged with three counts of murder in connection with a triple killing that took place in St James.
This has sparked an interesting discussion on Twitter where dancehall icon Vybz Kartel is now trending number one as he is said to have “file” for Tommy Lee Sparta and Shab Don.
The high-ranking producer has worked with many artistes including Popcaan, Squash, Teejay, Vybz Kartel, Jahvillani etc. As you know, Kartel, Tommy Lee Sparta and Ninja Man Man are all incarcerated. While it is common for incarcerated artistes to still write and release songs, the top music producer may not have the same luxury of getting music out into the world.
Some of the dancehall hit songs produced by Shab Don include Kartel’s “Any Weather” and “World Government”, Teejay’s “Henne And Weed” and “Shub Out”, as well as “Money Fever” by Squash.
Since the news of the producer’s incarceration, the public is finding it a strange coincidence that the producer and dancehall artistes are now all in a cell.
