Born to Rastafarian parents who performed with the Reggae group Chakula, Keznamdi’s music is deeply entrenched in his roots and experiences. Shaped by his travels to countries like Tanzania and Ethiopia, his ties and appreciation of Africa also go deeply, with the West African nation of Ghana serving as the setting for Time‘s visuals.

Ghana provides a vibrant backdrop, with the video depicting the country’s bustling streets, beaches, and extremely friendly and hospitable people.

Time’s warm community moments are well suited for Keznamdi’s introspective lyrics, reminding us all to pause, reflect, and embrace the moments that truly matter.

“No we don’t have a long time here. Ya can’t get it back. Nuh time can’t spare. And tomorrow never promise I swear. So make we cherish every moment we share. And if ya can’t buy time with nuh fortune. Appreciate the lickle tings in ya garden. And you nuh kno when life a go call ya. So live it up because time can’t bargain,” Keznamdi sings.

Speaking on his song’s relatability, the artiste said, “Humanity is constantly faced with this tension between intense focus and the need to live in the moment… I know this song is gonna touch some inner notes for a lot of people, cause it’s just straight-up reality.”

Keznamdi has amassed tens of millions of streams to date across various streaming platforms and has collaborated with the likes of Zhu, A-Trak, and Chronixx. With a global vision and ability to connect deeply with audiences, the artiste is poised to build on his already impressive foundation with his upcoming album.
