Kingston Wharves Employee Missing After Falling Overboard

A male employee at Kingston Wharves reportedly fell overboard a ship Tuesday night and a search party is still in motion. The individual, according to Nationwide Radio, works as a stevedore, who is responsible for loading and unloading ships at the dock.

A statement released by Kingston Wharves Limited informed that rescue protocols were instantly activated after the individual fell.

The statement also outlined that the incident occurred around 10:05 p.m. on July 12 while an employee was carrying out his stevedoring duties on a ship docked at Berth 8 and fell overboard.

Following the incident, KWL reportedly contacted the Coast Guard and Marine Police to provide search and rescue operations, while KWL’s private personnel also engaged.

The search resumed this morning for the missing employee.
