Queen of Reggae Marcia Griffiths had a phenomenal show in Florida, USA, celebrating six decades of her music career. The 60th-anniversary event was hosted at the National Guard Armory in Broward County and featured a slew of renowned entertainers, including Shaggy, Mr. Lexx, Freddie McGregor, Busy Signal, and Taurus Riley.

The venue was filled with a massive audience, singing and vibing to the soulful melodies of the iconic songstress and her guest performers. After the show, Griffiths expressed her glee and feelings of being “overwhelmed” at the May 12th event.

“I am totally rejuvenated after each performance and after each artiste sharing my journey with them in the collab that we recorded on the journey,” Marcia Griffiths said to Winford Williams during an Onstage interview at the event. “I am rejuvenated, I am overwhelmed…I can’t find the words to tell you how amazing tonight has been.”

Additionally, she noted that Shaggy left Dubai to share the stage with her, leaving her feeling amazed. Other performers who made their tributes to her also left her feeling touched.

She also expressed how amazing it was to see the massive turnout. Her celebration has not yet ended, as Griffiths will be hosting the event in Jamaica, which will feature 50 artistes in the lineup and Patti LaBelle as the special guest artiste on November 3.

Griffiths began her career as a member of the I-Three, performing alongside Bob Marley, before launching a successful solo career. Her solo efforts resulted in hits like “Electric Boogie,” cementing her status as a pioneer in Jamaican music.
