MC Nuffy Speaks on Running Away after Sexual Assault Allegation

Popular master of ceremonies, MC Nuffy, shared a compelling story from his younger days when he ran away from his community after allegedly being falsely accused of sexually assaulting a woman.

“Yeah me haffi run weh one a the time,” he said.

Reflecting on this time, Nuffy explained that his rising popularity and success in the community played a major role in the events that followed. He noted that the attention he received made him a target for “badmind” individuals who resented his success.

Recounting the events that led to him fleeing to a community in Linstead, St. Catherine known as ‘Cow Market‘, Nuffy described being at a Christmas party where he and a woman he referred to as “Marsha 45” took over the dance floor. Their performance caught the eye of another woman, who promised him sex.

The outspoken emcee further shared that his friends were made aware of what was to follow and he had asked the woman if they could join, which she agreed to. He described how, while he and the woman were by a tree doing the act, his friends arrived and that’s when everything took a turn for the worse.

According to Nuffy, one of his friends, impatient and eager to join the fun, hit the woman, causing a commotion. This drew the attention of the “badmind” men in the community, which led them to having to run.

“But him come over deh now, ina eager ina haste, him lick the girl, couldn’t wait. So apparently the girl a cry. Apparently one a the badmind dem weh no like me ina the community long time, me ina a blue suit and cuz the girl a cry now and the whole 9 yard, we haffi run.”

He explained that due to his outfit that night, while everyone else wore black, he was easily spotted in his blue, which led to the involvement of the police. According to Nuffy, one of the men even attempted to convince the girl to tell her mother that she had been sexually assaulted.

“So apparently me hear seh me rape. But guess wah now cuz the man no like me him go tell the girl fi tell har mother seh XYZ,” he said.

In a unexpected turn of events, he claimed that girl’s brother, upon learning of what happened, defended him. “The police ina the area start look fi me cuz me ina the blue suit so me haffi run weh.. The girl brother know me good like that and seh Nuffy nah do dem deh sumn deh.”

Ultimately, Nuffy states that the situation was resolved when the girl confessed the truth and apologized. “When the police si me back and even the girl mother, dem apologize to me and even the girl because the girl tell dem seh Nuffy never do nothing cause a me interested ina him.”
