Miss Jamaica Universe Toshami Calvin gave audiences a sneak peek of her opening dress for the Miss Universe pageant as the international event is set to commence its 71st staging in New Orleans, Louisiana, on January 14.
This year’s staging of the pageant will be hosted at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and feature nearly 90 women from around the world. After being crowned Jamaica’s delegate for the pageant, Calvin began training on the various aspects of the pageant, such as fitness and stage presentation, and she has truly been shining among her fellow competitors.
On Sunday, the 26-year-old shared a quick look at her opening dress for the upcoming pageant. Boldly stating that she was “looking and feeling good,” Calvin oozed confidence in a silver and canary bedazzled dress by fashion brand Portia and Scarlet.
The Miss Universe hopeful also stunned in a silver dress from Jamaican-based brand Uzuri International.
Calvin looked utterly captivating in a red ensemble by Uzuri on her sixth day of preparing for the competition in New Orleans. The St. Thomas native dined at Brennan’s Restaurant with her Miss Universe pageant sisters: Amelia Tu of Canada, Tashi Choden Chombal of Bhutan, Chloe A. Powery-Doxey from the Cayman Islands, and Ashley Lightburn, who will be representing Belize.
