Seemingly inspired by the carnival season, the song is a mixture of dancehall, hip-hop, and carnival vibes, with the visuals of the lyric video displaying a tropical, carnival, and Chinese theme.

The instrumental used for the song has a sample of Steve “Lenky” Marsden’s “Diwali Riddim”, which was released in 2002. The clap-filled riddim featured Wayne Wonder with “No Letting Go,” and Sean Paul’s “Get Busy,” which both entered the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Local hits on the riddim include Bounty Killer’s “Sufferer,” Agent Sasco’s “Ruffest & Tuffest,” Danny English & Egg Nog’s “Party Time,” and Wayne Marshall’s “Overcome.”

Rapping about being the best in the business and how no one can take her place, Nicki stated, “Chinese on my sleeve, these wanna be Chun Li’s. Anyway, nî hâo, who the f**k told bit**es they was me now?”

Red Ruby Da Sleeze is a song about being on the top of the food chain, and while pushing the bad girl image the Barbie Dreams rapper said, “Married a shooter case you niggas try to breathe loud, boom your face off then I tell him cease fire.”
