A recent post by Africa In Focus has gone viral on Twitter of a Nigerian Official seeming to fake a faint during a question session about missing funds.
The acting MD for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei was being questioned about the N536 million that was paid to a group that is associated with the “Save Lives Of Niger Delta People”.
In the featured video that is thirty-six seconds long, the speaker is asking Prof. Pondei, “are you aware that every expenditure you make from 31st May till date…?” when it dawned on the individuals around him that something was wrong.
Those closest to the official tried to intervene to see if they could assist as the room exploded into shouts of concern and voices trying to figure out what was happening.
Although the caption stated that Pondie was faking a faint, the Twitter feed came alive with many different opinions. The post is racking up retweets, views, likes and comments as time passes.
One individual stated “looks like he was having a fit or a stroke, doesn’t look fake” while others are certain he is faking and say “That’s to see how bad you faking! You see he started moving 🤣”
A commenter who was not so certain or quick to take the video at face value asks “Jokes aside, was he really faking?😂”.
