Following his first Grammy win earlier this year, producer Notnice displayed his award on Friday while sharing an encouraging message about his journey. The Kyng Midas producer took to multiple of his social media pages to showcase the much-coveted award in photos of him at his studio.
Notnice, born Ainsley Morris, rose to prominence in the mid-2000s, having produced several notable hits. The popular producer became a well-known contributor to multiple tracks by Vybz Kartel during the reign of his Gaza Empire, such as Ramping Shop by Kartel and Spice and his Street Vybz riddim.
However, it was Notnice’s work with Julian Marley and Antaeus on their album Colors of Royal that would secure him his first Grammy win. Notnice produced the track Robbed on the album, and Colors of Royal secured Best Reggae Album at the 66th annual Grammy Awards.
“A career filled with ups and downs but one thing mi always bounce back nuh matter what…. Learn that! Respect to everyone who played a part whether big or small respect to all 🤜🏾🤛🏾,” Notnice wrote.
Supporters of the producer, such as Dancehall veteran Red Rat, congratulated him in the comment section.
