Police and Gunmen Shootout in Bog Walk, “Shot like rice grain” – Watch Video
A shootout occurred last night at Breadfruit Gully in Bog Walk, St Catherine, around 8:00 p.m.
Circulating information indicates that the police and armed men were involved in gunfire. It is said that during the shootout, an officer was shot and subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment, on the other hand, one of the criminals was reportedly shot and killed.
The police had blocked sections of the road, leading to motorists being forced to turn around or becoming stranded between the barriers. The barriers reportedly remained for several hours as the officers awaited the arrival of the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
A video shared online depicted individuals fleeing the area and cars turning around. The person recording the video and a second individual he spoke to appeared bewildered by the situation.
He mentioned the sound of gunshots ringing out and questioned the fleeing civilians, which was when the videographer discovered that there was an ongoing shootout.
