Policeman Suspected to Have Committed Suicide in Westmoreland

A policeman was found dead at his home this morning in Westmoreland. The police, identified as corporal Horace McDermott, was discovered with a gunshot wound inside his house at the Llanndilo Housing Scheme.

Investigators were at the scene earlier today. The police investigators reported to the Jamaica Gleaner that the gunshot wound was believed to be self-inflicted. Hence, the death of corporal McDermott is suspected to be a suicide.

The corporal was stationed at the Frome Police Station in the parish.
