Popcaan Calls Shaggy “Bitch” and Says “Sharon Burke is a Devil” During Rant – Watch Video

Following his recent performance at Burna Boy’s concert, which was riddled with technical difficulties, Popcaan has accused Solid Agency president Sharon Burke of sabotage.

Popcaan was one of the few Jamaican guest artistes that took to the stage before Burna Boy’s performance at the National Stadium on Sunday. The artiste treated fans to a number of his hits, but his performance experienced several technical issues that interrupted his set. During his duet with his girlfriend Toni-Ann Singh, he was forced to trade microphones with her and, at one point, became so infuriated during his solo performance that he exited the stage.

The event was organised by the Solid Agency, and on Wednesday, Popcaan singled its founder Sharon Burke out as Sunday’s culprit. The Firm and Strong deejay took to Twitter and called Burke, his former manager, “a devil” and released a video where he further outlined his grievance. Popcaan described Burke’s company as the “not-so-solid agency,” as he alleged that she tried to sabotage his performance because of personal feelings.

“We all know say unnu hate weh unnu cant control enuh and weh unnu nuh have shares and percentage inna […] unnu feel like unnu can control the industry and put who unnu want put a number one and put who unnu want put international, but Unruly Boss break them spell deh long time and show unnu say me nuh need unnu fi do sh*t,” Popcaan stated

Popcaan went on to accuse Burke of wanting to be a gatekeeper for the music industry.

“Mi know how unnu roll, unnu want be industry gatekeeper and dem sh*t deh, want control who go international and who stay. Unnu know unnu cya control me already,” Popcaan said.

The entertainer ended his rant by calling out dancehall veteran Shaggy as a “likkle b*tch” but did not offer any explanation as to what ignited the enmity between both artistes.

Burke formed the Solid Agency in the 1990s, and the artiste management, booking, and event management company has worked with artistes such as Shaggy, Freddie McGregor, Wayne Marshall, and Aidonia. The influential businesswoman has also organised a number of major events, including the Shaggy & Friends charity concert.
