Following Sizzla Kalonji’s controversial move against DJ Khaled, dancehall superstar Popcaan has come to the defence of Sizzla. After a blogger expressed that the Rise To The Occasion singer should issue a public explanation, Popcaan voiced his disapproval.
One by one, celebrities have been sharing their two cents regarding the stance Sizzla took against the American music producer DJ Khaled. The reggae veteran went viral on social media for burning two certified platinum plaques that marked his contribution to Khaled’s albums.
The videos posted last Thursday of Sizzla dismantling the plaques because he was disrespected have since been deleted from his Instagram. Saying that there was not an appropriate image of him and he could barely see his name, he had set them on fire.
Amid the ongoing controversy, a post was made hours ago by blogger BrandO Music Review Show, saying, “I think sizzla owes us an explanation he may have just severed ties with Dj khaled and Dancehall Weh yuh think??”
In response to this post, Popcaan rose to Sizzla’s defence, clearly telling the blogger to leave the artiste alone. “Badman stop follow up the king,” Popcaan wrote in the comments section.
