Popcaan Shows Gratitude to Clarks Originals for Their Partnership in His Back-to-School Treat

Popcaan expressed gratitude to Clarks Originals for participating in his 2022 “Off To School” event, hosted in Rudolph Elder Park in Morant Bay, St Thomas. After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the annual event made a successful return last month. The “876 Gud” is said to have invested $3 million into the event and received joint efforts from entities such as Clarks Original, Unruly Entertainment, OVO, Bashco and SMA Talent.

Popcaan sent his appreciation to the designer shoe enterprise on Instagram with a clip of the school treat. In the clip, children are shown enjoying a variety of activities, including several rides and face paints. “Thank you @clarksoriginals for supporting the Kids in St. Thomas for the #popcaancarefoundation “Off to school” event this year. Everyone had a great time!” he wrote in the caption.

Popcaan recently faced backlash from Jamaicans because he went shopping with some kids in Malta. The critics shared their commentary, saying the dancehall star should have treated Jamaican children to the variety of shoes and clothes he bought for the children overseas.

However, the deejay did not respond to the backlash. Instead, Popcaan is seemingly focused on his annual back-to-school charity event and spreading “more greatness” next year. He ended the caption, saying, “We are looking forward to next year for much more greatness! #GreatIsHe.”

At the “Off To School” event, bags, books, and other stationery supplies were allocated to the children to offset costs for parents.
