“Unruly Fest”, a yearly anticipated event that is usually held in the parish of St. Thomas, Jamaica by Dancehall artiste Popcaan, will be making an appearance on the international stages this summer of 2022.

The event has been postponed for the last two years due to the corona-virus pandemic, however, during an interview with Clash 122 Magazine, Popcaan revealed that he will be bringing the highly anticipated event to the UK and Croatia.

No date has been confirmed for the UK event as yet.

Meanwhile, the music festival will grace the stages on the island of Pag, Croatia and has been scheduled for September 1-5. This will be called “Unruly Culture Splash” and will feature a variety of music with performances from entertainers across the globe from countries such as Jamaica, Africa, and the United Kingdom.

Some of the entertainers confirmed for performances in Croatia so far are Jamaican Dancehall veteran Beenie Man, Ghanian entertainer, Juls and a group called Smallgod & Friends.

“Unruly Fest” is an event that was started in 2018 by Popcaan and was held for two years at the Goodyear Oval in St. Thomas. Considered to be the “forgotten parish” by many, Popcaan whose real name is Andre Sutherland is a native of the parish.

The festival in the rural area has been used by the entertainer to bring support and awareness to the parish, “This is my hometown, so whatever me get, me share it with my hometown” were the words of Popcaan at the second staging of his Unruly Fest event in 2019.
