Reggae Singer leads George Floyd’s Protest

Reggae singer Nature Ellis showed solidarity with the protests in the United States against last week’s killing of George Floyd. Floyd was an unarmed black male who was killed by police in Minneapolis in what many people across the world sees as racially motivated.

the “World Peace” singer led a group of demonstrators along Constant Spring Road in St Andrew on Thursday and according to Nature, though Floyd was killed in America, the incident was representative of injustice against black people across the world including Jamaica.

“Throughout history, it’s silence of justice that causes all these foolishness to prevail,” Nature said.

Nature’s hit reggae song “World Peace” is the perfect message in times like these “World peace is what we fighting for, world peace, let crime and violence seize”
