Rihanna celebrated her 36th birthday this week, with the Barbadian singer escaping to Venice, Italy, with her partner A$AP Rocky for the special occasion.

Comprised of dozens of islands and known for its ancient canals that give visitors a captivating view of its Renaissance and Gothic palaces, Venice is an alluring spot for couples in search of an idyllic romantic getaway.

The last celebrity couple to grab the attention of observers while vacationing in Venice was Kanye West and his partner, Bianca Censori.

However, A$AP’s paparazzi moment is not likely to stir any controversy, with the Fashion Killa rapper captured on camera kissing Rihanna on her neck during a boat ride along the Grand Canal.

Rihanna rocked a black leather jacket lined in sheepskin for her romantic outing on Wednesday, along with a cream sweater and lace-hemmed skirt, while Rocky wore a classic pinstriped suit.

The rapper also appears to have thoroughly enjoyed himself while celebrating with Rihanna, as he was photographed standing on the back of their boat, laughing with his hands thrown in the air.

After leaving the Grand Canal, the couple reportedly visited a glassworks on the island of Murano.
