Hard at work in training, Jamaican star athlete Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce took a break from her busy day to share a quick inspirational message and a few photos from one of her recent training sessions.
Due to various issues, Fraser-Pryce has not yet made her debut for the 2023 athletic season, but the Mommy Rocket remains positive and was all smiles in training photos shared on her Instagram page.
Noting that it was not possible to always walk away victorious, Fraser-Pryce spoke about being resilient in the inspirational message she penned in the photos’ caption.
“You do not always win at every turn, but you win with strategy and a courageous mindset. It also helps when you are kind to yourself when setbacks happen, which means you should have patience with the process as you go back to the drawing board, knowing that we win by setting personal standards of excellence that are yours alone,” Fraser-Pryce wrote.
The world champion’s season opener has been pushed back multiple times this season. She was first forced to withdraw from the Botswana Golden Grand Prix in Gaborone in April due to a family emergency, then once again in May from the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi, Kenya, because of an injury in training.
But fans of the Olympian can expect to see her make her grand return to the track at Jamaica’s national championships next month.
