Jamaican dancehall artiste Shenseea was among the scores of female musicians who graced the red carpet at Billboard’s annual Women in Music Awards on Wednesday.

Shenseea, born Chinsea Lee, has come a long way since working as a promotion girl for artiste manager Romeich Major before signing with his company. After first garnering success in the Jamaican entertainment circuit with hit collaborations with Vybz Kartel and Tarraus Riley, the singjay soon gained global recognition, working with international artistes such as Megan Thee Stallion and Charlie Puth.

Shenseea, who has been working overseas extensively, has been attending a slew of celebrity events and award shows. She recently made an appearance at Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s annual pre-Grammy celebration, the Roc Nation Brunch, and was equally stunning during last night’s Billboard event.

Billboard honoured multiple female artistes and executives for their contributions to the music industry, their communities, and beyond. Chart-dominating singer SZA was honoured as Billboard’s Woman of the Year, Becky G was honoured with the Impact Award, Latto with the Powerhouse Award, Lana Del Rey with the Visionary Award, and Rosalía with the Producer of the Year Award.
