Shericka Jackson Finished 3rd In Women’s 100m; Intentional or Injury? – Watch Race

Sunday’s leg of the Diamond League was set up for an epic clash in the 100m women’s race between Shericka Jackson and Sha’Carri Richardson, with both athletes having an impressive season so far. But that did not materialise as Richardson had to pull out of the race because of a groin injury, according to reports.

Ta Lou then went on to steal the show by demolishing the field to secure the win in a fast 10.75 run. Asher-Smith finished in third place, running a season-best time of 10.85 ahead of Shericka Jackson, who ran 10.94

Shericka Jackson mentally seemed to have one foot in Budapest as she looked uninspired, finishing a disappointed third place in a sluggish time compared to her previous times coming into the Diamond League.

The Jamaican star was slow out the blocks and seemed uninterested in unlocking her special ability of strong finishes as she seemingly just cruised through the race professionally. More importantly, she seemed healthy after the race seeing what happened to Sha’Carri earlier. Of course, that’s one way to look at it, on the other hand, there could possibly be an injury.

African sprinter Ta Lou did not let the distractions of big names in the race get to her as she sped to a meeting record of 10.75 to through her hat in the ring for a podium finish in Hungary in a few weeks.

Shericka Jackson will be looking to secure both sprint tiles at the upcoming World Championship in Budapest after running some sizzling times to put fear in our opponents, especially in the 200m, where she looks in good form despite this lacklustre run. Also, she is many pundits’ pick to win both sprint events at the World Championship.
