With a career spanning over 25 years, Queen of Dancehall Spice born Grace Latoya Hamilton has released many hits over the years, one such hit is Fight Over Man, a single that helped pave the way for her supremacy as a female deejay in Jamaica.

Fight Over Man was released in 2005 on the Eighty-Five Riddim, which included songs like Agent Sasco’s Anywhere We Go and Baby Cham’s Ghetto Story. Despite the presence of several popular songs on the riddim, Spice’s Fight Over Man is one of the standouts.

Used in the single is her catchphrase ‘scorn dem,’ which she often utilised in her songs in the early 2000s and further expresses her disgust at women who fight over men. In addition to expressing her disapproval, Spice declares her supremacy in the bedroom and her ability to get any man she desires.

Some lyrics, “Me is a girl mi nuh fight ova man. From mi likkle bit a jus suh mi tan. Dis yah gal only want gi him one, After dat him tun fool cauz him jus get di bomb. Tight p**sy gal nuh fight ova man. And everybody know seh we ah name brand. When mi ah wine mi give di wickedess slam. So mi sorry fi di gal dem out deh weh nah nuh clam,” Spice sings in the single’s chorus.
