His Attorney Peter Champagnie earlier stated that the matter was set for mention on Monday, April 20. Today his Attorney Mr. Champagnie stated that no charge was placed on his client Dexta Daps The dancehall Singjay was arrested by detectives from the St Andrew South Division and the Major Investigation Division during an ongoing investigation.  Senior Superintendent of Police Stephanie Lindsay stated that Dexta Daps was arrested in connection to several shootings of recent in the Seaview area and neighbouring communities. The soulful deejay was held at the Hunt’s Bay police station. Because of his popularity, power and wealth, it’s alleged that he is the Don For the area where he’s from. His Attorney Peter Champagnie says the matter is set for mention on Monday, April 20, when the judge will decide whether he will be charged or released.
