Dancehall artiste Spice has cleaned out her proverbial closet by deleting all of her posts from Instagram, a move that she says is needed, as she claims to be tired of being a target.
The Tape Measure entertainer and Grammy-nominated artiste stated in a final post, “I’ll be off of Instagram for a while, I’m tired of being their only target for clout and click bait. Let’s see if they’re still gonna talk about “Only Me”.” Continuing, she made it clear that she was not going to fall into anyone’s trap and give them a response because all that is being done is just to get her attention.
Birth name Grace Hamilton, also mentioned, “I fight so hard to be where I’m now getting a fight for” MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄 🎁 EVERYONE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR WHEN IT COMES 🙏🏾.” It is safe to say that the Dancehall Queen has no plans to return to the platform before the new year arrives on the horizon.
She thanked her Besties (her fan club) and showed her love by stating, ” Besties I love you all so much,” before proceeding to ask them to continue supporting her new album, Emancipated. The songs to stream are Tape Measure, Crop Top, Clap Clap, Same Mouth, Nuff Man Name, Big Big, Bake A Man, Pop Off, and Hate Him.
Recently, Spice and fellow dancehall artiste Skillibeng were accused of being “the worst of dancehall” by Aubrey Norton, opposition leader of Guyana, after their performance at the Guyana Cricket Carnival. The Minister claimed that both of these entertainers create derogatory music that is demeaning to women in some way.
Although Spice’s Instagram cleanse takes place a short while after this statement was made, no one was mentioned specifically in her post.
