The fastest man to ever grace the track made some startling comments while on his recent visit to Old Trafford to watch the FA Cup match between Manchester United and Fulham last Sunday. The sprint legend made the shocking comments while being a part of the panel on ITV, which included football legends Ian Wright, Roy Keene, and female football star Karen Carney.
Bolt told the panel that he would swap all his legendary performances on the track for life as a professional footballer in a heartbeat. During the set discussion, he told the distinguished panel, “to play a career as long as these guys, most definitely.”
As Bolt continued to outline his love and passion for the beautiful game to the panel, Bolt stated, “I love football that much and to win the Champions League and score the final goal would be brilliant.”
The record holder over the 100m and 200m seemed very serious about his controversial comments by doubling down, “For me, it’s something that I always wanted to try. I watch and love the game so much and I was like why not give it a try? I was very serious, but it didn’t work out as I wanted it to,” Bolt told the panel.
